Yes there are performance differences. Namely things like Weight (Vert is quite a bit heavier), lack of eLSD on 'Verts (One of the best parts of the ZL1!), and probably rigidity. I'm guessing that the 5 PTM modes are not carried over either, like the 5th gen, only the Coupes have the 5 PTM modes. Convertibles had just "Competition mode" "Off" and "On".
There are probably more, but those are just some of them and the deal breakers for me.
