For us Europeans it makes total sense, with emission taxes here even a V6 is crazy expensive to drive here, and the turbo almost being equally fast, but 5 times cheaper to drive. So easy choice here....

While in Belgium camaro’s are still somewhat ‘affordable’, around 40k for the 2.0 and 50k for the V8, it’s the taxes that makes it almost impossible to drive the V8 here.
