I bought a '20 1LE, drove it 350 miles then sent it to HPE for another 200hp/200lb-ft. If any engine part fails, HPE covers it. So, I say mod it!

GM would expect zero catastrophic LT4 engine failures and they would recall these cars if there were evidence of systematic defects so something's not right here. There should not be numerous LT4 oil...
