Which hotel? This close to the event (inside one month) any dropped rooms go back into inventory and not back to our reserved block. Then the price gets jacked up. I'll try and help where I can.

I had a special block for GM but corporate rules made them book another hotel.

A small block of rooms will be opening up probably tomorrow at the Marriott.

If you want to be right in the thick of things you might call and get on a waiting list for these.

That is true... we had open rooms that didn't even get booked up on the last two days. There is a no cancel clause when inside of two weeks so that's the time we should see the wait list get smaller.

My point is you CAN get one on site. Hilton and Marriott are same parking lot and have rooms available. The party will be at the convention center.

Why book down the street when you could be basically in the same parking lot with one of the other 2 hotels.

Holiday Inn has a waiting list going. And I'm sure some will open up as we get closer....
