2SS Capt, your transmission will have a vent. Yours may be hidden better unless they failed to install the hose onto the transmission at the factory.

No it’s there for a reason. If you don’t vent pressure then it will push seals and cause leaks and/or cause excessive heat and overheat the oil. Differentials have vents too. Do not remove it.

It’s a vent. I’m about 100% positive. Looks like one. Top doesn’t twist on and off. And if you follow the tube it’s attached too..... I bet it’s attached to the transmission.
I’ve seen them on cars...
