If it matters, these Nankangs are made in Taiwan. They are not so cost competitive these days because they are getting hit with a 20% tariff. The original CRS was a good deal before the tariffs...

They've proven to be fast on Asphalt in >80deg temps. (2 out of the top 3 on index, against several national champions) I think they will be trash if it's cold/wet, regardless of surface.

Oh? I haven't seen anyone actually test them against REs or Yoks in Lincoln. I only know of one person who has run them on the surface, didn't compare it to any other tire, but decided he didn't like...

I've had tires slip after being freshly mounted, usually because they use too much lube. A month later it seems like the lube dries up and they hold fine. I don't think I'd try to put any sealant or...

315/30-18 Nankang CR-1, on 18x12 square.

The tires are about 18 months old and have somewhere north of 160 runs, they are starting to run out of tread but still work for the most part.

Just different tires for different purposes. The SC3s are for big track lapping, the 18" wheels are primarily AutoX since they either have A052s or CR1s mounted.

I've also got a set of 315/30-18 Nankang CR-1 (now renamed to CR-S) on 18x12. Unless it's cold/wet, they are comparable to the A052. Maybe they aren't quite as fast for a single flyer, but the...
