Good that you found the issue. Another way to do this kind of troubleshooting is to have a meter on the battery set to see the drain, and then pull one fuse at a time until you see the drain stop.

Boy, that's a real drag. Did you happen to see this sensor? Things in the trunk are fairly accessible if you pull the carpet off around where the battery is. I wonder if it is in that area.
