I found it easier to mount the splitter first then install the lower grill onto the splitter tabs. Actually went on quite easily.

Can't give you a definitive answer on that one except to tell you that the one off my original ZL1 splitter mounted up no problem. I figure if I chew that one up I'll give the other one a go....
