Has anyone ever had this happen? Grounding issue? We have tried both cheap and SnapOn scanners. No communication with BCM.

Pulled the intake and valve cover on the driver's side. Worst fears, chain is busted. Any advice. Probably 3000 miles on brand new Cloyes kit.

The battery is fully charged and no cranking....

The battery is fully charged and no cranking. Clicking from the front end of the car.
Check engine light is flashing.
Battery connections are very clean.
I'm kind of at a loss of what to do know....

He said it gas was low and the light was on but he didn't think it had been on long enough to run out. That said, he also said he didn't know what running out of gas felt like because he never has....

The battery is 16 months old. I pulled it out and ran it to a place to have it tested just in case. It tested fine. Rated at 800CCA and it was at 780CCA. Next I guess check connections?

Thanks guys for all the advice. I tore into it last night. Power steering pump makes the one bolt a little bit of a pain. Lot of electronics on these! I will take the timing cover off tomorrow...
