Wrong. The kinematic viscosity of 5w-30 ESP at 40C is 72.8 mm2/s, whereas for the ow-40 it is 69. At 100C the 0w-40's viscosity is higher (12.9 vs 12.1), which is exactly what we'd expect and want.

I don't think you need bigger speakers - you need more sensitive speakers. And/or you need an amp for the dash and door speakers. I don't think the stock speakers are actually very sensitive,...

305 is really a bit wide for a 10" wheel. It's going to be nearly impossible to find tires as tall as your stock SS tires for those wheels. I'd go with a 285/35 or 295/35 in back and a 245/40 in...

Autocrossing in the rain is not going to help you learn much about how your car will be in the dry, IME. The dynamics are just way too different, especially if there is standing water. But it's...

While I think zero toe is probably ideal, I don't think a little toe out is going to hurt performance on a stop watch. I've driven mine on the OE GYs with 5/32 and there was no obvious difference to...

Those are all things I'm happy to see! Yeah, I know about the backorder problem. That's actually how I was offered the chance to change size combos: someone really needed my 315s and the 275s are...

I finally got to drive on the Falkens yesterday. First, I chickened out of my 305/315 plan (in B Street, so stickling with 10/11 wheels) and switched over to 275/305. Word on the street has been...

Yeah, the PF64 is the "correct" part for our cars. The PF63 is the truck filter. It's a bit longer but fits just fine and gives a bit more filtering capacity. I think when I typed that I didn't...

Okay then, interesting change to "decontent" the cars for 21! I would focus, then, on stereo upgrades that people have done to their 1SS 1LEs from 2019-up. That should be the same as your systems. ...

The stock tire for the base models is 245/50/18, which is 27.7" tall and would go fine on your 8" wheels. For a little narrower with 27.8" diameter, you could go with 225/55/18. There are tons of...

The stock parts are plenty strong enough. They only have to react loads in tension and compression. Their stiffness in bending doesn't matter at all, and you want them to be flimsy in torsion since...

Just to be clear, the "head unit" is really the radio module behind the dash, to the outside of the glovebox. In our 1SS 1LEs, the power for the speakers comes from that module. An amp will help a...
