According to my dealership service guy (same place that does emissions testing), for emissions testing, all systems have to be in a “ready” state. I’m told (right or wrong) that the range device...

Actually, you are going to want to pull the Range device about a week or so before your emissions test or it will not pass. It takes like 100 or so miles of stop and start driving to clear the codes....

You’re definitely doing something wrong if you can’t get 3M VHB tape to hold. That stuff sticks like grim death. It held vent shades on my F-150 for 18 years of Midwest weather, not even a hint of...

When we park cars in the fall, we put a “moat” of dryer sheets around the car. Can’t say with absolute certainty that it works, but no rodents yet in 5 years.

I swap my Range AFM delete between my ‘17 SS and my ‘16 GMC Sierra. I may just pick up another one so I don’t have to swap. It makes a bigger difference in the truck with the herky-jerky 6-speed auto.

I’m not 100% sure but I don’t think you just replace the quarter on these cars. I think the whole entire side panel up around the top and to the front of the doors gets replaced. That is a big job,...

I like them for the clean wheels. I hate them for the squealing and reduced brake performance over stock. When they wear out something else will take their place.

Now I’m bummed. I just looked and Rock Auto no longer seems to be offering AC Delco 5w-30 Dexos 1 Gen 2 oil. They had a great price on it, I believe it was around $18 for a 5qt jug. I used to be able...

Just take the battery out. 10mm and 13mm socket wrench and you will have it out in less than 5 minutes. I do it every year. Then store the battery in the house with the tender on it.
