With road racing being a goal you are right to be wary of heat soak with a top mount.

I guess how you drive would dictate a lot as well. If you're at the track with lots of heavy exceleration for extended amounts of time that can't be good for the cats. Makes sense.

I would disagree. There's a low mileage 14 cammed 1le for sale right now for 34k and it will probably sell for 31 or 32.
The miles are just too high imo. Closer to payoff would be my guess.
