And I think the 200 lbs will be in the lower trims. Less composites and aluminum may be used in the base models. I can see an SS or next Z getting more composites and aluminum and drop close to 300...

If anything I see the C7 getting an hp bump also. No need to underpower the Camaro to save the C7. C7 owners don't care as they know their car is still faster.

2016 Camaro weight is at least 200 pounds lighter than 5th gen (March 30 update)

The Camaro is on a bigger Alpha. The Omega is a full sized platform. Completely different than the Alpha

Can we apply a common sense approach to this? Hear me out. A LS currently weighs approximately 150 lbs less than an SS currently right? Is it in anyway possible that a T4 could weigh 200 lbs less...
