Think buying/building wheel cribs would be the best bet. If you need to take a wheel off then use a floor jack at the normal lifts points and set that corner(s) back down on a jack stand.

The rear cradle is the main structure in the rear that the suspension components tie into. It’s directly behind the diff, looks like an I-beam almost (painted black).

No, the manual doesn’t call for it. However, after reading around here it is highly recommended. I changed mine at just over 1500mi and there was a lot of metal in the oil and quite a bit of sludge...
