Also the lt4 really drops power in the higher rpm range, a cam helped me quite a bit in the higher rpm...

If you do the work yourself and could remove it before selling down the line then probably not a bad idea, but if you have to pay for labor then I'd trade up. You will lose a lot of money eventually...
