I am up to ~ 9K on track miles and 12.5K total mileage. The car was bought as a track toy and sees very limited street use other than driving to track days.

Not exactly. Gen 6 SS is faster on track than Gen 5 SS 1LE... in as delievered form that is. While not sprung as stiff as Gen 6 SS 1LE the SS is still a very capable track car with necessary cooling....
