They had a short block built... on the shelf. They were the only one I found that had something ready. Was around $6k... all forged, brand new block.

Katech. I had same problem... spun a rod bearing. Drove to Detroit and picked up a 416 from them. Had it running in 2 days.... very happy with it.

With any cam install... it must be set up properly. Piston to valve checked, push rod length checked.... and make sure the timing is...

Did they measure for piston to valve clearance? What was the clearance?

Did they measure for push rod...

With a cam and ported heads, you absolutely will not be disappointed with this intake.
