The scanner has to be active when the ignition is off. And it has to be deactivated when the engine is running to avoid getting pulled over for having blue flashing lights. You only want the light on...

Thanks, I just found out its a 13 auto 1ss. Id prefer the 2ss but eh, im not too picky. Dont care that much about the leather but i did want the HUD and the boston acoustics upgraded sound. Ah well...
