Is LGX an interference engine? (is it OK to zero the cams during tuning?)

I'm looking for someone to either confirm:

1) whether the LGX engine has an interference design
- OR -
2) that you have driven the car with the cams parked at 0 degrees in order to tune VVE...

NPP quad tip was an option on the V6 (I have it on mine), but I'm assuming it's a different part than the V8 version.
