Also, do I need new lug nuts or will the SS lug nuts work. They seem a little short, like they may bottom out?

Anyone know what's up with these recesses around the back side of the hub of the OEM ZL1 rim where the studs pass through. My SS rims do not have this.

I've been told this is a production thing....

5th generation ZL1 rims recessed

Anyone know what these recesses are around the mounting studs where they
pass through the backside of the ZL1 rim? I've heard it is a production thing that clipped the rotors and held them in place...
