I don't lug the motor, why would I do that? It'll do it when I roll on the gas, then usually go away after a second or two, but even had higher rpm, floored, I can hear it pinging.

I had a '14 Cadillac ATS with the 2.0T and automatic. Loved the car! Easily got 29-31mpg on the road. Wasn't a big transition to consider my new '18 2.0T with manual. Just tell folks it's geared...

No, the 2.8 Duramax sounds like a box of rocks. 188hp and 369lb-ft of torque. That new 2.7T is a brand new engine, optimized to the max.
