It's unlikely you messed the clutch or tranny up, unless there has been a long pattern of abuse. GM builds a solid tranny and the clutch they use in the camaro is pretty stout.

I prefer the 5th Gen's look to the 6th also, that being said based on everything I've read about the 6th Gen they really upped the ante with all of the new parts and shedding a good deal of weight....

I'm no expert but I wouldn't think the price on say a 13 SS will suddenly drop by much maybe a couple grand max,once the 6th gen hits. At the end of the day the 13 is still going to be only a 3 year...
