How long should our belts last?

I was looking a my belt and saw hairline cracks on the ribbed side of the belt. About 69k miles on the car. Is that normal for these cars.

Mine also a 17' SS. I replaced my Battery 2 months ago. It was working fine, but with 68k miles a 6 years I wasn't going to chance it. Just a matter of time. Holy sh!t...hard to believe my car is 7...
