Who else has another gen Camaro/F body?

By a strange series of events an old 94 Camaro z28 6mt, I sold over a year ago ended up back in my possession. The car is rougher than it left, wheels have been swapped and now it has a rod knock but it still has the T56 in it. My 13 yo son has been around racing, cars and bikes his whole life. For some reason this car has him the most interested in working on, so we’re going to pursue it. He already got to experience the nightmare of changing plugs on this platform lol. The hot rodder in me wants to build it, investing money in a gen 2 LT1 doesn’t sound the smartest though. It’ll be a basic rebuild, either fixing or replacing the crank. The car will never be really nice but once back together it should still be a ball to drive for years to come.

I just sold a 2001 WS6 that I acquired a year or so ago. She was sitting for 9 years. Body & interior in great shape (including no cracked dash or door panels which is incredibly rare for 4th gens!). I did a bunch of work to service the car and turned her around for a nice profit.
I've also previously owned a couple of other 4th gens, as well as other LS cars. My first car was a '99 Trans Am followed by a '00 WS6, '05 CTS-V and '10 Camaro SS. The '99 was totaled by an impaired driver who hit me going 40 mph when I was dead stopped to make a left. Loved that car so much though that I bought the '00 immediately after. My '99 was cam only and the '00 was Heads/Cam. The '01 I just sold was a cam only car. All had supporting bolt-ons. Yes, plugs can be a b*tch on 4th gens. However, given how far back the engine is positioned, it's not too bad doing a cam swap with the motor in the car. Need to remove the radiator and a few other things to make room, but no need to pull the motor nor remove the front end. |

The 69 was originally a base coupe with a 6 cyl but now has a 427. My daily driver is the 16 2SS. My dad gave his white, 66 427 Corvette to me before he passed away so it completes the red, white, and blue ensemble.

I have a '86 iroc with a 406 sbc and a 2 stage nitrous kit. Wife had a 99 ws6 that's pretty stock she's going to use for HPDE.

I had 3 ls1 Camaros 98 z28 99z28 01ss. I almost got another one instead of buying this 22lt1. The only issue I ever had in those cars was window motors. Wish I never sold the 01ss. I would have had an ls3 in it by now. Now I’m learning how much more of a pita and much more expensive it is for this 22lt1. :happy0180:

I've got my 88 and my dad has a 69' which is under the cover behind the 2SS
Got my IROC shipped up from Texas, rust free and only 60k miles. Originally was planning an LS t56 swap, but now I'm gonna leave it original. Needs some work, shaky on the highway, needs some paint. Really healthy otherwise though. |
Yup, but not nearly as cool of stable as above. See sig... hoping to add 1st or 2nd gen when I can find the right one.

Don't get me started on window motors. Between the 3rd and 4th gen... I can't think of how many I've replaced. |

I had 6 third gens but sold 3 of them off to get my 2023. Sold a 84 Z28, 87 Iroc, and 89 Iroc that had low miles. Kept my two restored 91s and my 92 project.
