A10 loses it
Did any of you guys see the latest video from CSP on youtube?
Andrew was getting ready to take his ZL1 to some show in Kentucky (cannot remember if it is LS fest or Camarofest). They put it on the dyno and on the second run the A10 grenaded... I honestly thought the A10 was more robust than that. He only makes 829hp to the wheels. Here is a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRpqTlFSJUs&t=610s |
How do you know the wear and tear on the unit, it was a development car. You’d have to believe the tuning parameters werent stock… so who knows what went on during its life.
Torque management, line pressure, shift speed. Plenty of variables there. |

It had a cam, maggie and all the supporting mods. And went 9s I believe on a tire. Then he sold it. Then bought it back and thats what you seen now. |

That car has been through the ringer from Andrew R&D'ing with it. It was the shop mule TreeL1 until he moved on to C8's and then Teslas. So I wouldn't base anything off solely what happened in this case.

See this is what happens when you don’t follow regular service intervals:confused0068::bonk:

Just watched the video , the same thing happened to my Zl1 with 3500 miles on it. On the dyno the output shaft on the trans pushed out and started to leak trans fluid, i got lucky and it was the last pull and we noticed it once we shit the car off so no fire. I asked around when it happened and nobody seemed to have ever heard of or had the same issue.
