Emblem blackout
I swear I searched. Found lots of answers for the SS, not a lot for the ZLE’s. I’m in the process of blacking out all the chrome emblems. All the easy ones are done - hood Z’s, rear Z, rear bow-tie. Now the tough ones:
1) How do you remove the flow-tie or black it out. 2) How do you remove the small ZL1 emblem in the grill. 3) Unrelated - do you remove the grill, front bumper to replace a damaged dive plane? Thanks for any help, links, etc. |

I’m not a fan of chrome emblems. My F150, C7 and Both of my Z06’s were blacked out as well.

Just plastidip them on the car

The front flow tie is molded into the upper grill so I don't believe there's a way to remove it. You'll probably have to paint or wrap it on the car. If the small ZL1 in the lower grill is like the one on the 5th gen ZL1, the letters are held in place with automotive tape. There's likely small stems on the back of each letter that fit into holes on the emblem holder. Be careful not break those off when removing.

For being so supercar oil defiant you’ve had a nice assortment of cars. I’m a big fan of Z06’s myself. Had them In every generation. Absolutely enjoy driving them.:happy0180:

Loved both my Z06’s. Took advantage of the market to sell my 2019 Sebring Orange. Paid $79K GMS and sold it 3 years later in May for $76K. The 2020 X7 was an even better deal. $83K MSRP, bought as a CPO in June 2020 for $63K. Drove it for 2 years and 25K miles and the dealer offered us $67K. Wife didn’t want to let it go, otherwise it would be gone. The 2010 F150 was an impulse buy in 2020 for $14K with a bullet proof 4.6L 3 valve (cop car motor) with 150K miles. Just needed a 4x4. Drove it to 185K and sold it 2 weeks ago for $15K. Had a 1995 Hijet that I bought for $5500. Painted it, wheels, tire, raptor-lined it and sold for $10K. Had the 1997 Toyoace imported for $15K back in August. Awesome ex-fire truck and real all the truck I need with 2,750 payload rating. The 2021 ZL1 came from Nimnicht in FL. Talked them down from $75K to $71K. This will be my track weapon for the next 2 years until I order a new C8Z. https://youtu.be/EKU9e19CBHY |

I either had custom stickers made or plasti-dipped. No chrome for me if I can help it.
