More low rpm decel pops after ported throttle body
I recently installed a mamo v2 ported throttle body. I noticed that I'm now getting more low rpm (3k and below) decel pops where I used to get almost none. I'm worried this is a sign the car is running too lean. Also have a CIA intake, and ported LT2 intake manifold. Anyone have any insight?

Did you tune it? If no, then stop driving it. Get it fixed. If Yes, find a new tuner. |
You’ve made it easier for air to enter. You should also look at getting air out. If you’ve done that, then get a tune.

No tune. I have no check engine lights, and no perceivable power loss. If I went to a larger throttle body, I would definitely think I needed a tune, however, it's a stock 87mm throttle body that was ported. As far as exhaust, I have the factory NPP which is supposed to be good for anything short of forced induction.
I'm thinking it's just a result of more air/fuel being burned, resulting in more pops. It's not alot, just very subtle where there used to be none. I'll run it a few hundred and miles and see if I get a cel. |
