Nightfall gray but I have a BLUE top!

Yes folks, I just bought a used 2017 SS vert in nightfall gray with a BLUE TOP. I thought it was a bit strange but was not a deal breaker. So I'm thinking of having it dyed black but then I check out a thread here showing build counts and come to find out that only 140 were produced in 2017. Why, I don't know, but that low build count makes it somewhat unique. There is some blue in that nightfall gray but the top still looks a bit odd. Not sure what to do now. I only drive the car on nice days with the top down.

Not a good photo, it was overcast.

I highly doubt the blue top adds two cents worth of value to your vehicle; either to a dealer at trade in, to a private party or in 30 years to entice a collector. That is not the type of "unique"feature on an otherwise ubiquitous 2017 Camaro that makes a difference. Color the top the way it looks good to you.

^ I agree. But still pretty cool looking option.

I might have to take offense to the “ubiquitous” comment. I said nothing about value. I said unique. As in not common. I’ve been buying and selling for 40 years. I tend to buy smart rather than dumping a bunch of cash in any one car. This allows me to buy more cars. I think I got a pretty cool car with that LT1 for $25k out the door. On to the next deal!

Unique for sure. I would assume that the color combinations are directly tied to demand.

Most importantly, however, is to make sure you are aware that Nightfall Gray is the fastest color for a Camaro SS Convertible.

I'm inclined to agree. But I might be just a tad bit biased. :grayvertshift:

Welcome to the “BLUE TOP” club.
I too did the smoked tail lamps.
The stock wheels had some curb rash so since I need new tires, I’m going with new wheels too. Putting them on in a few weeks when the rain clears out. Falken RT6. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ad2b688469.jpg

Keep the blue top! Makes the car unique and I bet you rarely have it up, anyways!!!
