Royal purple 75w90 w friction

Anyone use this at 1600 miles 2 track events need to change I have always had better luck with purple then AC Delco. Which is same price. Want pick some up today. But thought get community advice as the gear oil threads only talk about AC Delco and dears hip oil

This my choice:

Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-90

Formulated for the severe operating conditions of today’s pick-up trucks, SUVs, heavy equipment and other hard-working vehicles.

AMSOIL Severe Gear is compatible with most limited-slip differentials.

If limited-slip differential chatter occurs, add AMSOIL Slip Lock friction modifier additive.

AMSOIL Slip Lock Differential Additive (ADA) is formulated with advancedfriction modifiers and is designed to eliminate

gear-housing chatter in cars, trucks and SUVs equipped with clutch-type limited-slip differentials.

I changed my diff fluid out a few months ago with the Royal Purple.

My ls1 trans am did not like royal purple. I would stick with the GM fluid plus additive.

Did RP, it does groan on the first few turns after start up. I may add some more friction modifier when I get a chance... no big deal, I bet it is stone quiet during the summers..

Rear Diff Lube

Try ULTRA 1 PLUS 75W90 GL5.

Here in CA I haven't heard any groaning sounds with RP. I say CA because it never really gets cold here.

I've never had good luck with stock fluids, especially Mopar. I boiled the dif fluid in my 2000 Dakota RT. I did drive around 110 for 2 hours on a road trip in the middle of the night. Apparently, the dino fluid they used in that truck would boil at 600 degrees, lol. What do you know. I put synthetic w/limited slip additive and never had another problem. Luckily they built a strong dif to take that abuse and live.

I didn't want to take any chances with my Camaro so I went with RP fairly early in the cars life.

I've been using OEM and my car is basically a track car only. I change it every 24 track hours, never had any issues. I'm at 10,500 miles total with about 7000 of those being on track.

My Z diff has the RP in it now, would use it again, no question. Not a track car though if that even matters.

I'm a RP fan but recently switched to Amsoil. Also switched to Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-90 this past season. I had RP prior and no issues.

Yes, I use RP MaxGear 75w-90 in the differential of my Camaro and also in the differential of my C7 Z06.
