Options for dual tips instead of quads.

I'm looking for exhaust options for a 1ss automatic without npp. The problem I seem to be having is that the car doesn't have quad tips so all I can seem to find are muffler deletes which I do not want. Help me out.

Borla has some dual tip systems.

I've seen them but 800$ for two mufflers is outrageous lol

I hear you. Axle back systems are a rip off for about 2 ft of pipe, 2 mufflers and tips. I just bought flow master super 10s and reused the oe tips. That's enough to hold me over until I get headers and full exhaust

Could look at others, like Flowmaster, Magnaflow, etc. I think even Moshimoto is getting into the game.

I really want mbrp since I have it on my Denali 6.2 and absolutely love the sound but they only offer the quad tips

I changed the rear facia to accommodate quad tips. Replacement facia cost was approx $175 plus paint.

Before
Attachment 806007

After - Borla S-Type (non-NPP)
Attachment 806008
Tips protruded a bit too much. A few days after this photo was taken I had the mufflers adjusted to bring them almost flush with the facia.

The LT1 emblem was a gift. Was trying to find a place to put it when I found that it fit directly below the SS emblem like it was made to go there. Might move it or straighten them both. :noidea:

The car is black so the rear facia is unpainted factory. I actually thought about that but couldn't find anywhere that sold it... Dealer?

I got mine through the dealer but you can also get it from Cultrag.

Can the fascia be trimmed to accomodate quad tips?

I suppose it could. I actually considered trying that at one point. However, I wanted the look of the gloss black facia so I just replaced it..

Yes the gloss black looks much better.

I also opted not to get the NPP but it could be installed to use as a manual or electric cut out that would be pretty awesome. I like the look as well.

Any chance for a sound clip or video? I'd really like to hear how that sounds. Even with NPP I would prefer the car to have more interior volume.
