Insurance costs for 2016 - What R U Paying?
Wondering what people are paying for their Camaros
Scotia Car Insurance -2 Million Third Party -Accident benefits -Collision $500 deductible -Comprehensive $500 deductible -Glass and Family protection -'Trouble Free' option - car rental, etc -5 year new vehicle protection - Full payout of vehicle if total loss. - $1,015/year - I have home and additional vehicle with them. Age 45 - no claims/tickets |
It's going to vary wildly by province.
Here in BC, we have a corrupt one party service. Rates hurt. A lot. |

Is that as a primary vehicle or occasional use only?
I got a quote on a 2015 Camaro as an occasional use vehicle and it was $1500! Thats with the house and another car on the policy, and a perfectly clean record. Before I saw this post, I thought that was cheap, since the quote I got for a 2004 M3 was even more expensive! Mind you, I live in Brampton... Nigel |
I asked and was told a little more than what I pay now on a Mazda 6. Only 650 or so per year. In ns.

Primary vehicle. I work 10 km from home. Only 10,000 KM/year. (wink) Bradford is a 'cheaper' zone than Brampton. That is most likely where the extra hit comes from. |
Im 20 yrs old living in B.C. I pay 178 monthly for a 2015 Wrangler Rubicon. Will let you know how bad i get butchered when i get the car.

If my insurance on a SS was 300 a month I would be more than happy

Small update.
I went with 1 million Liability. That is what I have with the 2 vehicles I have now. If I went to 2 Million, it would have to apply to all vehicles. Thus increasing their cost. So with the 1 million and full coverage it came out to $1,003 for the year. 15,000km/year, snow tires and parked in a garage. :) |

My 2LT RS was 550 a month when i was 18 Im paying 280 a month now same car no tickets and im 25 in a month Ontario insurane rates is a scam especially if you live in Peel region |
No tickets, 31/M and 45/F homeowners in Los Angeles:
Adding the Camaro to our GEICO policy bumped it up about $1,000/yr w/ the highest liability coverage possible ($1M injury liability, $100K property damage). Costs are broken out as follows since we have two cars. We have no tickets or accidents. The collision coverage on the Camaro is what really smarts. Bodily Injury Liability: $560 Prop Damage Liability: $350 2011 Honda Pilot: Comprehensive Coverage ($500 deductible): $72 Collision Coverage ($1000 deductible): $182 2016 Camaro: Comprehensive Coverage ($500 deductible): $160 Collision Coverage ($1000 deductible): $630 |

Didn't you get the Liberal Government's 15% insurance premium discount, that they promised after they got elected? :sm0: Politicians promising insurance discounts...that's like stealing from yourself. :frusty: Isn't it interesting how insurance rates went up all of a sudden, and they say the government DOESN'T have their hands in the insurance business :mad2: When I get my renewal the only thing I'm expecting from the government is....:stingray::moon: |
How did a question about insurance rates become political so quickly?
