The Truth About My SS

Much respect for my 17 SS manual but I just came to a sad realization. This car is absolutely no fun to drive unless I'm on it. It comes alive when I'm driving aggressively but it goes to sleep when I'm not. It's just flat boring at the speed limit. Am I the only one that feels this way? Some cars are fun even if your just tooling around.

I love driving my Camaro at any speed. Its just such a blast to drive.......

One of the few cars I've ever had that was fun 100% of the time was my Evo. Literally felt like a go-kart and sounded possessed.

I wish that I felt the same way. It feels big and heavy when I'm driving easy. As the speed goes up, it gets smaller and lighter. This car was designed to be driven hard.

I look forward to every drive in my Camaro. It’s not a daily driver though, so each trip in it is special. I even make up excuses to drive it! Please give an example of a car that is “fun to drive even if you’re just tooling around.” Just accelerating from a stop sign at a moderate throttle is fun in my SS! The engine sound alone is music to my ears.

I get it. My wife had a 2010 Mini S with a stick. I hate to say it but I loved to drive that car. It had it's faults but it was fun.

It's my a daily driver. Please don't get me wrong, I'm more then impressed with my car but it begs to be flogged. It feels like the car gets bored when it's not. It may be as simple as this:

"It's more fun to drive a slow car fast then a fast car slow"?

It ain’t no fun unless your on it, is the story of my life.....cars or women.
Honestly, it’s probably the beauty of a domestic muscle car, performance without being finicky like a exotic import

True, very true.

I enjoy my 2SS every time I drive it.

Sounds like a Miata might be a better fit for you.

You might be right but I just can't do it. I'm addicted to my V8!

I knew I'd get flamed. A Camry is ALWAYS boring. An SS feels dead when it's driven slow. The SS is magic when you wind it out.
