I think the biggest issue wanting 50k IS it having 100k miles. Even with today's crazy prices, if they r asking 50k, the car prob has 60k miles on it.

Have you tried getting prices from websites on the car? What are they saying? I'd say the value would be right at 40k.

Wow, you put a lot of miles on that baby! Any issues along the way? How is the oil consumption?

ZED SLED 10-26-2022 02:20 PM

Ask Vroom or one of the other sites for an offer then go from there. They offered me $52,200 on my 9k 2017 M6 w/sunroof, ECF insert, and nav back around July. Probably not as good now but would give you a reference point.

If the oil pump failed, make sure you show its been replaced. If the oil pump is original, that would be a question someone would ask.

The mileage is going to kill the value.
You'll be lucky to get $35k

KingLT1 10-27-2022 10:01 AM

I say 35-40k tops. Nobody is going to want to buy a high mileage flagship car for 50k. It's not the same market as Truck or SUV. And even then, Yukon Denali or Escalades with 100k miles around the same year are sitting in lots listed around 35-40k.

55K is the number

I'd think/guess 40-45k if in decent shape sold privately in todays market. Maybe 35-40 sold to a dealership.

I’m with him on this…someone will have to get a loan (more than likely). The loan will be good for the estimated value of the car. If you look at KBB, 35k is in the ball park. Even at 35K, the mileage combined w/ any needed or potentially soon to be needed maintenance / repair items, give a buyer some decent leverage. If I had the spare garage space and wanted a HP monster / project car, I’d low ball you. Just me though…

To me, this car is worth more to keep than to sell.

In excellent condition and assuming it's an automatic, my KBB subscription service (the same one the banks pull value from) puts the value for private party sale at $40,736. If you would provide the VIN, I can get a hard value for you.

If the wheels are powdercoated it’s not “100% bone stock”… js

I think you are off a bit. ZL1s with half the miles are going for that kind of money and not even selling...
