UPCOMING EVENTS, SEAT TIME THREAD
 

Guys/Gals,

I propose we use a thread to keep our fellow track rats informed as to events coming up. Sometimes events slip through the cracks because you may not be plugged in to all of the organizations/clubs/companies/tracks that are having events.

I think it should be formatted as below, and then we/I can up date the top post each week, or we can let it roll as a live thread.

I've stuck the thread.....and I'll pay very, very close attention to it over my summer months! :thumbup:

I always post our Central Carolinas Region SCCA Autocross events in the Southeast section but regional boards don't get that much traffic. It wouldn't be a track day but would it be ok to post them here?

Hope to see some of you out there this coming season.

If I get 1,500 miles on mine in time, I plan on going to Sebring with Chin on Jan 28-29.

dlbracing.com and motorsportreg.com are my 2 'go to' sites for finding events near me.

Tomorrow I'll be at the NASA event in Phoenix at Wild Horse Pass in the SS Sedan.

BUT, the real reason I'm posting here is because of a cool opportunity on Thanksgiving that I'm unfortunately going to miss. ProAutoSports in Phoenix is putting on a 3 day event at Wild Horse Pass that will combine WHP main with the Bounderant track! It's a 2.5 mile circuit. I'm not sure how often it happens but it sounds pretty awesome! You don't have to go al 3 days. Definitely something to check out if you can! And yes, it's over 1/2 mile straight into a more than 90 degree turn.

Absolutely, seat time is seat time. I plan to add autox events as well.

Like you, the regional sub forums are just dead most of the time.

Sadly true and I fear that we miss reaching people that might be interested because they never see the events we post. Even this forum has a fraction of the traffic of the general forum and anyone here is probably already interested in track days/autocross. I want to reach the people that haven't seriously considered this but might be persuaded to try it at least once. We need something like this on the general forum.
