Borla or Corsa Exhaust

So I am looking to make my car sound a little better, but when looking at both Borla and Corsa, neither recommends installation in a convertible. Have any of you installed these systems, and how happy are you with them?

You must be focused on the cat-back systems? I have the GM Performance exhaust upgrade on my car. It's a Borla S-Type axle-back wearing a bow tie and was installed by my local dealership last year. Added some lower frequencies and just a hint of rasp on cold startup. More throaty than stock but not overbearing.

I am looking at cat-back and being a ZL1 I didn't get an exhaust option

The X-Pipe is likely why they're saying "NOT recommended for Convertibles" as the 'vert has cross bracing under the car that has less clearance for the exhaust. This is why the stock pipes are crimped, even on the coupe (same pipes whether convertible or coupe).

It can be done on a convertible as others have done it but all MFG's will say it won't fit. If you are only looking for sound as you mentioned, just get yourself an axle back exhaust from either Borla or Corsa and you will be grinning ear to ear and no issues with fitament.

It should have a tune update for your Active Noise Cancellation too. No other exhaust in the world has that.

Lansing, MI. You need to contact MRT in Plymouth MI. at 734-455-5807. They made a cat-back 3in exhaust for my 2017 2SS Convertible. If you belong to the Lansing CapitalArea Camaro or Motor City Camaro Club, they offer a club

IMO Corsa sounds way better than a Borla in person, but that's all personal preference.

AWE makes the best sounding exhaust and the best looking tips. I installed the touring axil back with black diamond tips.

Borla a bit deeper darker sound, a tad old school

Corsa screams more

Between the two, I vote Corsa all day

Borla was the way late 90's early 2000's

Thanks. That’s awesome. I wanted AWE but saw it say no convertibles but seems ok to do.

The no convertibles is specifically for cat-back exhausts because the cross braces on the convertible will interfere with the exhaust pipes between the cats and the mufflers. Axle-back will work on all body styles.
