ZL1 oem rockers $500 painted and shipped

I found ZL1 rockers on ebay already painted for $499 shipped.
They can be installed on any Camaro 6th gen with a minor mod - see https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=500230

The seller is 4x4.motors - he has an ebay store https://www.ebay.com/usr/4x4.motors?...72.m2749.l2754 that lists ZL1 rockers in several colors.

Garnet Red wasn't listed but I contacted him and he has Garnet Red available so I ordered them. Apparently they came from the GM plant ready painted and in perfect condition.

I'll post back when I receive them. I plan on installing them on my 2016 2SS.

Seems too good to be true. But hopefully people can get this deal. Unfortunately I already have mine that I paid full price for.

yea as far as I know they are about $500 for just the unpainted parts so that really does sound too good to be true haha good luck though!

I want to see some close up pics of these installed, and yes I would rather replace that whole section and do the mod, plus it would look more factory like.

Well I got my set of the ZL1 rocker panels on Sat, very very small blemishes that you cant see unless you are looking real hard, I thought that they were gloss black but once I got them they were the mosaic black but they are black so I won't complain, but other than that I am very happy.

I received my ZL1 rockers today in Garnet Red. Very nice condition, only a few small marks you wouldn't notice unless you got real close.
They are mosaic black on the bottom, which I understand is the same on all ZL1s.
I attached photos below.
I'll probably install them on Friday.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0d00b35cde.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...2b1a816178.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...25e085f8f6.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...9f1e4bd3c1.jpg

I got mine on this afternoon and I didn't have to enlarge any holes, I used a half inch nylon spacer with a longer bolt and 2 large washers for the front fender bolt and left the back bolt in place and everything snapped into place, all the lower white retainers I took off since mine were still in place and not broken.

We need pictures of them installed, please.
Did the front upper yellow clip line up withe the hole in the front fender after you had spaced out the fender?

As soon as I can figure out how to upload pics I will post them and as far as the front yellow clip, I took it out as per the instructions but had an issue with the push pin so I used a zip tie with the hole I drilled and it holds it in tight, you cant see it once it has been put back together and I reinstalled the ZL1 Addons rock guards, also you may have an issue with the front middle yellow clip not going all the way in but with the back one in and the front tip tied, it will be all flush.

I installed my $500 ZL1 rockers this morning following burningrice method, see link in first post. I used stainless washers to space out the fender by 0.5 inch.
All went smoothly except for the passengers side where the front yellow clips were not holding firmly. So I added a zip tie to make it more secure.
Took me about two hours total.
Gave the car a quick wash and took some pictures.

ordered a set based on this thread. Hopefully they come in looking as good as all the others.

I did notice some very small dings but you have look very hard plus I put my DA polisher to them before the install.

njdad61 09-22-2019 03:14 PM

I contacted them to see if they had satin steel available. If not, I might just have the fender portion repainted to match. Would still be cheaper than ordering a primered set and having the whole thing painted.
