Allocation finally!

Got the call that my dealer finally got allocation after 3.5 months. They are a good size dealer and just haven’t been getting anything. First allocation had to be convertible and auto so we been waiting. TPW 1-24, so at least making progress. Seems like GM just isn’t going to build many this year.

Allen Turner. Sansing didn’t have allocations and wasn’t very interested in worrying about it. Lol

I put an order in for a LT1 on 8/26 with the agreement that I'd get the deposit back if no allocation within 2 months. well 2 months came with no allocation so i got my deposit back and have been searching for something close to what i had ordered with no luck. This morning I got a call from another dealer that i spoke with back in august saying that they had an allocation today for my Camaro. I went ahead and ordered it and added the Recaro seats. Let's see how long this takes.

It’s crazy how hard the process has become. Lol. Glad your order got accepted and we at least have the process started! Good luck on yours.

Exactly. It should not be this hard. I just put my second build in at another dealership. Salesmen told me the GM said 2 allocations will be coming open by the 12th of January so here's hoping I am accepted very soon!!! Once I get that allocation, I can relax a little.

It sure makes for a worrisome time waiting on allocation then hoping the actually build it and it doesn’t end up sitting on the lot waiting on parts for months. Hopefully you get the allocation soon and relieve some of the stress.

I agree, I'm 71 and I've bought a lot of cars in my life and this is the first time ever paying MSRP. There is still some uneasiness if the car will be built and delivered in a timely manner. Hopefully ordering it with just the Recaro seats will help move it along.

I ordered an LT1 from one of the biggest dealers in Maryland called Criswell on 9-23-22. I was told at the time they had an allocation and it would be about 16 weeks. December 10th I get a call from another sales person at the dealer telling me she is my new contact, the other was no longer employed. I squeezed the truth out of her.....they had no allocation but they were due in on Dec 15. I get a call Dec 16 and it's good news, Someone before me had ordered a ZL1 but bailed out. Turns out I cannot get a 2SS but I can get an LT1, 1SS or a ZL1. So, the manager had to wait until the 20th to go in and officially order my car. I will never know the truth but we ordered a 1SS in Radiant, A10, Silver ralley stripes and sunroof. I have inquired with the chat robot and it shows order accepted, fingers crossed. 90 days for an allocation seems to be the normal now. I never knew about the whole "Lottery" bullstuff until I read it here. strange new world. Sold my 21SS for a healthy profit, currently Camaro-less.
