My rear camera sucks 2019 1LT V6

Man my rear camera image sucks,it looks like the color is washed out , I have a hard time seeing what I’m backing into. Anyone else have this problem? Anyway to upgrade it? At work we just go some 2019 Dodge Durango’s and the rear camera works awesome in it. Would be nice to have that in my camaro.
Thanks for the help.

Aren't you still under warranty?

Fire260 09-07-2019 11:30 PM

Yes, is everyone else camera good?

My 19 is crisp and clear and much improved over the 18 I traded in with the older generation mylink. That system performed exactly as you describe. Maybe try cleaning the camera lens...

Good to know that yours is clear and your 18 was like I’m describing mine, my brothers 2018 truck has the same picture as mine, maybe my car got a left over camera. I have looked at the lens before but I will look again.
Thanks for your reply.

My 18 V6 is totally clear. Other than cleaning the lense I'd just take it to the dealer since it's under warranty

My 18 ZL1 has somewhat poor image quality bit it's better than nothing. I don't really spend a lot of time backing up so it never really bothered me.

Clean the lens

My 18 v6 1lt camera is clear and bright also.

They improved it a lot for 2019. It was just okay for 2016-2018...it worked and was acceptable but not what I would call "great".

I have a 2016 and no problems at all with the image.

My 18 1lt is fine if you did clean the lens take it to the dealer before the warranty expires

I have a 2017 and mine is fine as well.

I find the quality on my 16 great. I do have the bigger screen so that might help. My wife's 2020 is a piece of crap. The resolution on hers is awful, Toyota really cheaped out.
