Anyone in Oklahoma got thier car yet
Just checking to see if anyone in Oklahoma has received their cars yet?

As of last Friday, my wife's was built and has a VIN (I did not get a history printout so I believe it was built on May 11), but I do not when it will be transported to Tulsa. I know a couple of others that have also been built, but not delivered. We ordered a Victory Red, 2SS/RS, auto.

Mine is at the dealer (Aubrey Chevrolet in Lawton) changing out the wheels for 21s should pick up 5/28 or 5/29 I know he delivered one around 5/15

Ordered from Jim Glover in Tulsa. Have Vin #10546. Glover has invoice and went to
do paper work last night. Should be here any time. Keep our fingers crossed. |
If you have a car in transit, meaning it's on a train headed to your dealership, your next step is to get your sales guy/dealer to tell you who the trucking company is... then, either on your own using you own suaveness or with your sales guy, call the trucking company and find out (a) how long they are taking to get cars from the yard to the lot, and (b) if they are showing any information for Vin #xxxxxx.
As it relates to item (b), the trucking company may tell you to go pound sand... mine did the first time I tried (on Tuesday) but today I took a different approach - I asked if they could help out because the DBC was providing "us" any good information. "And who are you?" they asked... "I'm [name] and I am working with [sales rep name] at [dealership name] to try and figure out what's up with Vin #xxxxxx... that darn DBC isn't giving "us" the same information twice and it occurred to "us" that if anyone would know the truth it'd be you guys...." (stroke, stroke, stroke....) Note that I never lied to them... I never told them I was a consumer dying for information about my future car either. Had they asked me who I worked for, I'd of told them truth and the gig would have been up... but, they didn't ask because wording is everything.... hence the "us" and the "we" in the example above. From this you are going to get a really good idea of where your car is and when the dealer might expect it... heck, you might even get some serious precision so you can conveniently be outside the rail yard fence with your camera and popcorn ready. Good luck with it and remember, honey and sugar are sweeter than piss and vinegar. |
Mine is in OKC as of today ...should have it by Wed.
|
Maybe our will be coming with yours. Dealer received invoice on May 27th, window sticker showed up on may 20th. Should be anytime.
|
Maybe ours too (but I doubt it). I have not checked with Glover to see if he has our invoice, but I see it listed on this site's database and the window sticker database. I will probably go to Glover this Friday to get an update.
|
We are not listed on the site's database, but do have a VIN # 10546 and Glover has a invoice. We had the VIN on the 20th our 20 Year ANNV. They received the invoice on the 27th of May. Called the 1-800 # an was put on hold. Was told that it was still there. Had some NICE guy check my status on this site last night and was at 4200. IS THAT SHIPPED??? WHERE MIGHT HE BE?? HOPEFULLY IN OKC WITH SUPERCOP29's.
