ATTENTION: Lost Posts and Accounts
In order to fix the site issues we experienced recently, we had to restore the site back to its state from 24-48 hours ago. This means that any posts made in the last 24-48 hours have disappeared. Sorry for the inconvenience folks.
If anyone still experiences any issues (i.e. logging in, attaching images, etc.) please let me know asap! Thank you for your patience. |
So, What Happened? (or is it just me)...? Lost Posts?
Yellow banner...all posts lost over the past 24-48 hours lost....That's a new one. Sounds pretty serious...Security Breach?...Doesn't sound like a normal maintenance thing....Just curious...

Probably the database got corrupt and they had to restore from 24-48 hours ago.
|
I noticed the last couple days, having trouble loading or opening post. So I suspect something got corrupted and they restored back to last known good date
|
Looks like all the posts went back to the 12th. That's a little more than 24-48 hours...

It’s all my fault. I posted about a video of what looked like a 7th Gen prototype running acceleration tests at the GM Proving Grounds. It was briefly on the same AutoBlog page as the test of the Camaro 10A a couple of nights ago. The video is different now.
Apparently the gods of the 7th Gen have caused lightning to strike both sites. :yikes: BTW, my lost posts go back about 72 hours. Not that it matters - stuff happens, and I appreciate the effort the owners and mods of this forum go through to keep the site going. :clap2: |
Must have been a big hit.
My last post showing is dated 11/11... 5 days ago. |
Let me guess, a MicroSoft tech wanted money to put it back to normal.

Probably too many ford and dodge lurkers on the board, with their slow internet :P
|
Search function keeps hanging up on me.

Too bad you didn't save a copy of the video. |

When I tried to copy it after watching it twice, the video was locked. I tried a different way to copy it, but it was gone. It was only about 30 seconds long and showed three acceleration runs from the driver’s side rear three-quarter view. I was hoping whomever posted the link to the AutoBlog test of the ‘19 Camaro 10A (or someone else) here a couple of days ago saw the video and was able to capture it.
The video frame was small (on my phone), the car was heavily camoflaged and it was a long way from the camera, so it may be wishful thinking that it was a Camaro. But it’s about time that some info on the 7th Gen. starts leaking out... UPDATE: I don’t like to start or perpetuate rumors, so here’s what I just found out. I discovered the video at https://autoweek.com/article/spy-pho...-track-testing in a much larger size than I originally viewed. It’s a C8. What started all of this is that AutoBlog has this video tagged to the end of a 1:16 video titled “A new Camaro 1LE has arrived” at the bottom of the page where the Camaro 10A test appears (https://www.autoblog.com/2018/11/14/...ission-review/). I don’t know why Autoblog made that connection, but it obviously got my attention. (Now it’s properly labeled.) Oops - I guess you can’t believe everything you see on the Internet. :faint: |
:threadjacked:
This video is of the '19 4T 1LE that 50MileSmile was talking about from the Autoblog site: https://videos.vidible.tv/prod/5ac7d...tEI6WAsd2AgWXx |
