Ss 1le 1/4 mile
 

Anyone take their 1le to the 1/4 mile? Any tips? I know these tires don’t like being cold.

slip the clutch don't launch hard, i never had good luck when trying my car, think the fastest i got stock was a 12.3 at 115, i still have't mastered the way to launch these cars, its not easy.

practice, practice, practice.... like MP3 says... launching is no easy task specially with these eLSD even burnouts are a pain sometime...... I tried to practice in the street but honestly nothing translates to the track.... seat time is the best bet... every time i've gone... i've broken my personal record.

Started 13.0 bone stock, to 12.5 bolt ons, to 11.7 on a tire, to 11.5.. now just waiting on a better DA to see if i can make at least consistent 11.5's or pull an 11.3

These 1LE's are not drag racers but they can sure compete if you drive them properly.

My tip besides practice, is make sure all nannies are off. The launch control on this car really sucks at the strip.

So ended up with best time of 12.75 at 115. Had to take all nannies off and launch around 3500. Had to fight between bog or spin.

Thats a good start, work on that 2.2... best i was able to get was 2.0 when stock.. so you definitely got room to improve. I also think I got a friday engine... my car could never pass 110mph and im seeing more and more 1LE's doing 113-115mph...

Now im FBO e85 and cant pass 119mph when everyone else on my setup is doing 122-125mph...

This sucks... Anyway, Back to you, like I said more seat time and you'll see the results.

Dont forget we are sucking in thick humid florida air even on a 60 degree day and 80% humidity we are still around 7-800 DA guys in the north are working on 0 and under this time of year. WITH N/A you could easily pick up the time and mph at a diff track. Wednesday should be a really good day 50-60 10% precipitation and 60% humidity I am going to get out the the track and test some trans tune changes.

This Weds? I'd be down.. I was going Friday with was aroun -300DA but there was a Jetcar event :emoticon1:

Yup, ofc.... however on my tune i have NLS function turn off... so im NLS the old school way... no cut off straight "if im too slow i will bounce off the limiter"

ayeeee MT-R's are the best tires IMO. My car transformed itself when i put these tires on.... dont want skinnies too lazy to be swapping tires every time i go to the track or mexico...

Glad more people are going to the 1/4 and not just sticking to 1 discipline... these cars are good at whatever you throw at it...

Good to see some more come around... I currently am the record holder as per the forums list... but im the only 1LE on the list so its kinda crappy :P
