Carbon Ceramic brakes
Do you anticipate CC brakes being an option?
|
Well there goes the price tag if GM dose include them. lol
|
I DONT think they should be included lol. I don't think they want another Z28 repeat. But I do think a package including them would be awesome. Like the Z07 for the vette. Or maybe an "R" package ;)
|
Wow, i just researched these brakes, i had no idea these were so expensive, so the z28 would be a little over 62 k without these brakes. 62k is a more reasonable price for a z28.

The cars being tested in Germany have two piece steel rotors. A good sign that they will not be CC.

We may see them as a option. I think it would be cool to have them as an option. That a way if you wanna spend the money or not you can get them.

I'm no expert and I don't own one but I was under the impression the carbon brake system was one of the major reasons the Z/28 could drive deeper into corners to carry more speed, with major respect also to the suspension and other changes made performance wise to make it a track demon.
So we had carbon brakes and they have carbon fiber wheels and I'm interested to see how it shapes up in a shoot out at VIR and Laguna Seca. |
Either don't offer them, or make them an option, or part of a high performance track package.

And they are much larger in diameter compared to the next car in the vid which is being speculated as a 1LE |
I don't think will see them in the 2 cars in the videos from last week, but look for them to come out as part of the Z/28, in 2-3 years.
|
I am a big fan of options but every car that has them standard tends to be out of my price range @ msrp. with the exception of the GT350R but I can't find an allocation at MSRP so then even it is out of my league price wise currently.
I like how the z06 has the Z07 package for the people who can afford 90k cars but still has the 78k base car without. |
