Sport Pedal Kit Install

Just got the factory sport pedal kit from the dealer. Install looks easy enough but there is a note within the package that states "installation of this part may require reprogramming of the ECM, refer to tech installation guide".

So in reference to the gas pedal, are all of them created equal? I know the pedal itself does have a module of some type on it but are all pedals just plug and play? I'm thinking if the electric resistance is slightly different, the signal sent back to the computer might be off, causing a lack (or gain) in throttle response if ever so slightly..

I guess I'll have to make my way to the dealer and ask to see what their tech manual states that needs to be done.

Are those basically pasted on top of the stock pedals or full replacement? How easy was the install?

Thanks!

Looks good! I may get a set of Sparco pedal covers so who knows..

The gas pedal is a complete replacement. Remove one bolt, slide out of notch, unplug harness, reverse order install. Brake and clutch you remove rubber pad and install new rubber pad. Gen 5 manual was a bugger. the Gen 6 auto brake pedal had a rubber flap to grab. Much easier. Not sure on Gen 6 manual set up......

Got to drive today and noticed no difference in the pedal response or feel.

Looks just like whats in the ATS.

Anyone know if there is a cover or replacement for the dead pedal? Wondering if any of the Cadillac ATS covers would fit.

Just did this install and it is super easy. Only advice I have is when you are doing the brake pedal, start from the right side (closest to the gas pedal). The slip on fit will go on quicker/easier this way.
