4.3L Vortec Guru's

Looking for some insight on my swap project I'm doing. Long story short I'm putting my 1950 3600 body on a 96 S-10 frame. Ive got all the body done and starting to get my motor and trans in. Now I bought my 96 s-10 with a 4.3L Vortec LF6 and 4l60e and the motor had water in the oil pan. I found a 03-07 LU3 4.3L Vortec and am wondering if I can remove the MPFI system and put on my SCPI system from my LF6, possible will have to switch front covers for the CPS. Any help? If not I will have to run the LU3 computer and source a fuse box and run a standalone type system, Thanks all!

One of these guys might have some useful info on swapping:
https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/top...3-engine-swap/
Car-part.com lists easier swaps between 96-98 years separated by engine VIN

Please keep this thread updated. I've got an '00 even though I like the boxy s-10 better, and am always going to be looking to keep one of these old war horses going.
