Popped Seam on Recaro

Read a post (may have been on a Facebook page) about seams popping on the Recaros. A few people said they had the issue. Well today at 490 miles I found this….

Dealer has a claim submitted for me.

I do move the seat all the way back before getting in and out. Also roll in around the bolster…

I have learned the "Hip swing" to swing my butt around the bolster so I never touch it and plop down on the seat itself. It is a must learn with these cars.

It's really irritating.

Man that sucks! Looks like a poor stitch job. At least it's covered by your warranty. It will be interesting to see if GM allows the dealer to replace the entire seat cover.

Yes the hip swing, can't be totally graceful getting in and out! lol just ~7K miles, no issues for me, except a slight rub spot on the bolster side from my pants, been getting better at avoiding that too!

Yes, it looks like the stitch job wasn't that great. New cover is at the dealer. Getting put on tomorrow.

Great news! I'm glad to hear that they are going to replace the entire seat cover. That's what they should do.
