Headers with/with out a tune
 

I am planning on getting heaters soon and would like to install them myself. I’m ordering a cam kit through Texas speed and will have to have it installed and tuned. I can save money by installing the heads my self. But my question is. Is it safe to drive an hour on new heads with no tune.

But yes, it is. You may get a check engine light, but perfectly safe to drive.
