How long does it take to have shudder issue resolved?

I took my car in for 15,000 maintenance and well as told them about the shudder issue but they had to keep it overnight since technician is still diagnosing the problem and I was told there wasn't a definite answer to when it'll be solved. Anybody took their Camaro in for the issue? How long does it take since I need the vehicle ASAP. I just know the shudder issue is done by flushing the transmission fluid, is the process quick?

One day.

Mine took about 2 hours...if i recall...update TSB on the shudder issue doesnt require tech to verify as in the past. They took my word for it and did the flush...

Depends on the dealer. I had so much trouble with my past 2017 RS. Dealer flushed it twice, it took 2 days each, then they told me it was indefinite to get in for a new torque converter. I called back and complained, they had an appointment for me in a week, then had the car over a month to put the new torque converter in. I had enough at that point.......

Better dealers should be able to address it in much better fashion, hopefully.

mine took two days, and I THINK its comming back. Its been months since the fix.Heres what they told me they did-change out the fluid, valve body, reflash, but I think I hear it comming back,I m think about a 2020 LT!

My dealer took a week. They had to call in some master tech from the area to figure it out even after I told them it's a common issue. I stopped going to that dealer and went to one that sold more Corvettes and they are much more familiar with the drivetrain than the previous one.

Thats way to long, I would have gone to another dealership.

Obviously it will depend on the dealer, the staff, how busy, etc...My last visit for the new flush and new torque converter was a week

Took 3 hours at the dealer. also used a range AFM delete for a couple months, and now it's nice and smooth the way it's supposed to be. I think the AFM has an effect on producing the shudder, my personal feeling.
No cost to me for the flush, but dealer attempted to hang me for the expense. 12k, and no problems so far...

Got the first flush done on my son's 17 RS on Jan 2 of this year at the Chevy Dealer in Tupelo, Ms. I knew the better flush was coming, but I was off that day and thought it might work. Car had about 5500 on it, as he doesn't drive it much. They had it out in about 2 hrs and told me to bring it back if it didn't work. It didn't work and I carried it back on 7/9/19 with 6451 miles on it, checked it in at 7:47 A.M. and they were finished at 9:31 A.M. Service was per 18-NA-355. Told me that would do the trick and so far they are correct. Real good folks who knew what the problem was and took my word for it both times. I bought the car at another dealer in MS. but they assured me they want my business and to service my son's car. Chevy rules!

Good to hear they can take your word for it being an issue. Mine does it every time I drive it but is worse when the transmission gets hot due to spirited driving. I need to take off my mods before taking it in tho.

The dealership I went to had the car for 3 days. Was covered by warranty. I was worrying about that, as I bought it used, and was past the 3 year warranty. Seems they are having shudder issue with some trucks and vans too...
