I know that a lot of people will say they like this, but the belt line is still too high and the greenhouse too short.

And its got the corporate chevy face, large bottom grill, and very tiny upper grille. I do like some of the lines on that rendering tho.

Whoomba 05-06-2014 08:22 AM

Nope. Too stylized. Take the vette out and put the Camaro back in.

These exercises make you realize that if you like the current car, better get one soon. Also wondering if build quality will suffer 'Made in America'.

I'm a fan....as far as a design exercise goes I'm happy with this. This would turn heads. Looks modern and muscular, has the GM corporate face (which I'm not really a fan of using the corporate face on the Camaro, but if done right I could live with it), is a nice evolution of the current car, and easily looks better than the new Mustang. The Mustang does not stir up excitement for me, but this does.

True, but I'm thinking those heights could be raised/lowered a bit on this design and still not lose the good looks.

It will be made in the same house as the Cadillac ATS....the quality had damn well better be good. I'm not worried about it.

There is too much Corvette in that for me. Plus, the high belt line and low roof line will make it even harder to see out of. The 6th gen doesn't have the burden of restarting the Camaro so they need to focus more on performance than a flashy design.

Isn't that a fancy way of saying that the visibility is poor? I wonder if any other cars have that problem.

Nice design but I do not like the rear quarter for a Camaro. GM please do not black out the A-pillar like the Vette.

c5Legend 05-06-2014 12:21 PM

Man I cant wait to see what itll really look like.. I like this too

crc91 05-06-2014 12:45 PM

hmmm idk too modernized to me and not muscle enough the front still looks aggressive but everything else meh

Sapper12b 05-06-2014 03:02 PM

I'm liking it, modern but still retains the muscle car look

Its not a horrible rendring, but I agree, belt line is WAYYY too high. And the body lines from the front fender and rear quarter panel toward the door dont match. HUGE no no. The front bottom grill. I question why even make it that large if youre not going to just join the top and bottom making it as one? If youre going to split it? IMO make the split on the facia about 1-1.5" in width tops. You can install the bowtie there. No need to install it in the grill sense it would be about center.
