19' A10 FBO Ported Blower WHP Guesstimate

Just wanted to get peoples thoughts on WHP before I dyno it in the Spring and report back. Mod list is below with KingLT1 running the 1's and 2's.

Fuel E60+
Kong Ported Blower
2.31 Upper
Stock Lower
LPE LT5 TB
LPE HPFP
FIC +30 Injectors
DSX Flex Kit
JMS Voltage Booster
TSP 2" Longtubes
Off Road X pipe
Cold Air Inductions CAI
Katech 176 Thermostat

I already have similar build in progress only all stock pulleys and 6000 ft altitude. I’ll be able to give you a very good estimate February-ish.

You also might consider adding a 5 gal coolant tank and pump or water/meth setup. With the pulley you will be spinning the stock blower harder than it was designed to spin and you will be generating excess heat. If you are drag racing and are only concerned about 1 pass at a time and cool down before running again that’s no big deal. But if you want to road course track it or have all power available on longer cruises you may need some cooling mods. Running e60 will help that a little bit and ceramic coating the headers will help some also but probably need to do more than just those things. JMHO There are mixed opinions here whether an upgraded heat exchanger makes much of a difference.

I predict your set up would make close to 740-750whp if it doesn’t pull timing.

Edit: Guess I should clarify if you are getting standard or Stage X porting. That’s about 35-40hp less if no X port.

680'ish whp.

SJFGTO 12-27-2021 06:26 PM

690-700

Good deal. I was thinking it would go over 700 as well based on previous dyno’s I have seen of similar setups. You think over driving the supercharger 8% will create that much more heat I will need a expansion tank or additional cooling mods? I figured the thermostat should help some. I use distilled water and water wetter in the blower coolant.

Just a standard port not the X-Port.

1 Attachment(s)
710-720 whp

I have very similar build minus injectors and pump, although I have a 103 tb and big gulp. I can only go e20 right now with really cold air (made 14lbs of boost). 577 whp 610 tq on a dynomite. Estimated 660 whp on a dynojet but who really knows. At the edge of the high side. Need to get some 60-130's to verify

It’s spinning at its maximum speed on stock pulleys. Any overdrive pushes it faster than it was designed to spin. That means heat and there’s no way around it. You can only mitigate it with cooling mods. How far you have to go with the cooling mods will be trial and error IMHO but there are some who have had success in mitigating it.

If you had the X Port I would have predicted around 710-720whp, but with the standard port and that upper pulley, I'm going 680'ish. If you added a lower...

That’s about where I was predicting.

My C7Z definitely got hot quickly even with the 2300 and now the 2650. Have done a lot of cooking mods to that car I just figured with the ZL1 it would do a better job staying cool.

I was mainly basing numbers off of Jannetty’s builds that he has done. His 125 package does around 660 with basically the same mods minus ported blower and stock blower rpm as far as power mods are concerned.

Sounds reasonable but as you get closer to 700whp, you will have to drop your E content some. The ported blower and smaller upper pulley is going to force you to drop the E content. Thus you will probably end up in the 680-690 range SAE.

He listed +30% injectors and HPFP. He should have the headroom to bump the ethanol back up, shouldn’t he?

He does have the injectors and upgraded pump which is what drops first. The jms should give room on the lowside. I've read 680whp max on stock high side. Throw in another 30ish whp for the extra ethanol if the fuel system will handle it. Seems he should be able to eclipse 700 whp from what I've read.

Cam, have you already had the tune completed by King?
Just wondering because I'm max e30 in normal weather. If I can go e60 with just injectors and pump I'd be tempted. Just don't know if I'm pushing more air with the bigger intake/tb, Interested to know how much boost your making

E60 takes a LOT fuel. I could be wrong but I think the E content will have to come down.
