Special order time frame...
 

To those of you who special ordered one, what was the total time it took from order being placed, to taking delivery?

Still about six weeks? I've had cars take as little as five, and as much as ten weeks...

Mods, feel free to move this to the ordering/dealer/etc section...

As long as there are no ordering constraints (see Becky's weekly threads over in the Ordering section), it's typically 6-8 weeks. When I did my order in 2011 for my 2012, it was right on the money: I ordered late August, had by early October.

For me it was in the 6 week range. Make sure you verify that the dealer you choose has allocation which I did in advance. I've seen people state they placed a deposit on a special order car and wait months because their dealership didn't have allocation.

About 6 weeks as well here.

I received mine in 4 weeks.

Ordered 6/6, still waiting...

Ordered mine on 6/16 and TPW is next Monday.

I've never ordered a car, always bought off the lot.

Is there a way to verify that a particular dealer has an allocation other than their word they do?

I ordered 6/30, TPW was 8/1, expected to be here next week.

Took 6 weeks to the day from order date to sitting in the driveway.

None that I know of.

First 1LE i ordered was a 13 and that was not a great experience i think it was like first week of Jan i ordered it and picked it up like in April. My 15 1LE was here in no time ordered it June picked it up end of July.
